How mediation works
Commercial mediation is a voluntary and confidential process in which an independent mediator helps parties explore resolution of a dispute.
Unlike a judge or arbitrator, the mediator does not impose a decision. The parties remain in control throughout.
What to expect from the mediation process

A confidential discussion about the dispute and whether mediation may help.

The appointment, date and arrangements are agreed.

Gregory may speak with parties and advisers to understand key issues.

Key information and documents are shared before mediation.

Options are explored, assumptions tested and ways forward identified.

Settlement terms may be documented, or next steps agreed.

Could mediation help?
Mediation can be particularly useful where a dispute is affecting more than the issue immediately in contention.
Commercial relationships, management attention, future opportunities and the practical needs of the business may all be part of the wider picture.
Mediation creates space to consider those issues alongside the parties' respective positions and explore whether there is a practical way forward.
